Bored of your regular hangout spots? Here’s a list of some highly recommended, some relatively new attractions in Dubai that maybe worth considering!
1) La Mer:
Stroll along the beachfront amidst ferry lights and quirky artwork at La Mer, the latest development at Jumeriah 1. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a gelato by the water, delish food at various cafes or window shop – this area is sure to steal your heart away.
2) Dubai Frame:
The newest and most talked about landmark located in Zabeel Park is the Dubai Frame. Two 150-metre high towers, connected by a glass bridge on top allow visitors to admire the beauty of Dubai – old and new. An elevator takes you up to the top from where one can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the metropolis.
3) Al Seef:
Opened on the shores of the Dubai Creek, it’s soon going to be a one-stop entertainment destination with floating restaurants, unlimited shopping and lots more. While only a handful have opened shop at the moment, there’s lots to look forward to in the coming months.
4) The Yard:
Head to the Last Exit D89 in the Al Khawaneej area near Mushrif Park and you’ll find The Yard which is now home to Dubai’s first ‘Promise Bridge.’ Inspired by the famous love lock bridge in Paris, this place is soon going to take over everyone’s Instagram feeds. If you’ve always dreamt of attaching padlocks to the famous bridge, you don’t need to go to Paris anymore. Also, don’t miss the vibrant artwork, farmer’s market, bakery and more at this family-friendly destination.
5) Dubai Canal:
One of the most historic developments in Dubai, the Canal is a 3.2 km long waterway winding its way from the Creek in Old Dubai to Business Bay. With marine transport facilities and pedestrian bridges, the Canal has made crossing over from one side to another fairly convenient. Whether you choose to walk, jog or cycle through this archway, be sure to take in stunning vistas along the way. Also, don’t miss out on the mechanical waterfall at Business Bay – it’s surely a sight to behold.
