Foodie Reviews: Bombay Salad Co.

When I first heard about a new salad bar in Mumbai, I imagined it to be a swanky, hip place, packed each day, with the who’s-who of the city. However, this place surely took me by surprise. Bombay Salad Co. is a tiny hole in the wall sized eatery in Bandra, bang opposite Nom Nom. As you enter, you can watch the chefs prepare delectable treats right in front of you. Their menu features salads, wraps, sandwiches, juices, smoothies, cold beverages and desserts. They serve salads in two portions – medium and large. Opt for the medium unless you’re extremely hungry.

I tried:
– The Feel Good Salad
– Strawberry Smoothie
– The Bombay Salad
– Basil Pesto & Potato Wrap

The Feel Good Salad
Strawberry Smoothie
The Bombay Salad
Basil Pesto & Potato Wrap

What impressed me:
– The concept of a salad bar in the city
– Their salads are refreshing, healthy and flavorful
– Every salad has sufficient amount of vegetables/meat and toppings
– A medium bowl of salad is enough for one person
– The strawberry smoothie is fresh and does not include additional sugar

What disappointed me:
– The service is a little slow but that’s probably because the place is still relatively new

Rating:
4/5
