A trip to Amsterdam is never complete until you see its beautiful, breath-taking canals. Popularly known as the symbol of the capital city, the iconic canals are well maintained and protected with utmost care.

Stroll through and you will be mesmerized by the beauty it beholds. At first, I wasn’t excited to see more than one but as I kept walking, I realised each one had a different charm…a different vibe. The ones in crowded areas were chaotic but still lovely to be at. The calm and serene ones would make you take a step back in time and just pause – errands of the day wouldn’t matter…in fact, nothing would. Right from cafes and bars, street side shops, utility stores and so much more, everything was just there. What amazed me the most was the fact that we could explore any corner by just crossing over so easily.

This city is infectious. It makes you feel comfortable. It makes you feel at home. Whether you’re looking to drink or dine, chill or catch up, read a book, or just enjoy some time off – head down to the closest canal and you’ll know what I mean.
